Chapter 192 - Chapter 192: The Sofa Accords

"Woah, Tyel, what happened? Why are you here?" The first one to speak when Tyel entered the room was Syrmax. Vane wasn't at his usual spot in front of the stairs; as Tyel entered the room, only Darian, Liro, and Syrmax were sitting together at the table.

"Are the others asleep?" asked Tyel as he took a seat next to Liro, who nodded his head.

"Exactly. They've been asleep for the whole day. After what we did yesterday, all of us were destroyed… it surprises me that you've been able to go to work without any problem," answered Liro. Tyel, before answering, emitted a loud yawn.

"Yeah… it's not that I have any other choice. Either I arrive at work or…" Tyel moved his eyes, looking at the ground. "Or bad things happen to the guards who arrive late…" said he. Both Liro and Darian gulped, scared, as they didn't know what would have happened.

"Still, why did you come here today? You said you'd only come if something important happens," said Darian. Tyel grabbed something from his pocket and then positioned it on top of the table.

The paper Tyel had positioned on the table was blank. "Remember when we were about to go away from the Seamstress's room and I grabbed something from the drawer?" said Tyel. As Darian grabbed the paper, both Syrmax and Liro got nearby, as they were curious to see what was written there.

"Oh, so that was the thing you took in the Seamstress's room, Tyel?" asked Liro. Tyel nodded. "Project… Seamstress… Tyel…" A horrified look appeared over their faces. Tyel was confused by their look.

"Hey, what happened, sp—" Tyel got closer to them, confused, as he wanted to see what had happened, but as he got closer, his voice was interrupted by a loud knock coming directly from the entrance.

"What?!" Syrmax, surprised, jumped back, both scared by what he had seen on the paper and by the loud knock coming from the entrance. His monocle fell to the ground, and Syrmax kneeled to grab it while Tyel went towards the stairs slowly, scared that the guards might have found them.

"Go and wake the others, Liro… it might be bad…" whispered Syrmax. Liro nodded his head and rushed to the room to wake the others. "Hey, Snowy… wake up…" Darian slowly touched Snowy's head, who was resting on the table. As the creature woke up, he positioned it on top of his shoulder, and he started to walk without making any sound towards Tyel.

"Tyel, can you check who it is with your power? Have you been followed?" asked Darian, his body shaking because of the shocks he had gotten in this last minute.

'Damn, I can't even revert back… how can we come out of it?' Tyel gulped as he started to go up the stairs, reaching the entrance covered by the boxes.

Darian did the same and followed Tyel while remaining silent. "They aren't guards, right? They would have already broken in…" added Darian, but Tyel still didn't answer, as he was still lost in his thoughts.

'If I get killed, I can still revert… but that means I'll have to escape once again from the Seamstress…' As Tyel and Darian arrived in front of the boxes, the others had woken up too.

"Are we being attacked? Liro told us to wake up, and fast!" said Orechin as he ran towards the entrance, followed by Lily. "I'll try to block them with my roots. You remain behind!"

"C'mon, Vane, we don't know what might wait for us!" called out Liro. Vane, still half asleep, rubbed his eyes and walked slowly. "Hey, don't be so loud… I can hear you." Vane walked into the main room with his body completely asleep; if something were to happen now, he would be completely useless, unlike the others, who all seemed worried and scared.

"Can you hear anything?" asked Darian. Tyel positioned his ear near the entrance and shook his head. "Nothing… it's qui—"

"Hey, Tyel, we have seen you entering here. Are you there?"

Suddenly, Tyel's heart began to race extremely fast. He had recognized that voice. 'Chud?! What's he doing here?' The scared Tyel began to breathe heavily. 'No, no… the last two people that I wanted to know about this… what are they doing here…'

"Hey, Tyel, did you hear that voice? Did it call for you?" said Darian as he accidentally raised his voice. On the other side, both Martheel and Chud heard that.

"Tyel, we heard someone calling you! Open this!" shouted Martheel. Tyel's breath became heavier. 'These two, no… I need to… reve—' Without realizing it, Tyel had taken some steps back and lost his balance. 'At least I'll rever—' Tyel couldn't even finish his sentence before he was falling down the stairs and knocked his head on the ground.

After hearing the huge sound, Chud pushed away the boxes. "Argh, dammit, I'm going in." Martheel nodded his head and pushed the boxes away, and both of them entered the rebels' base, with Darian who was in the middle of the stairs and the others who went to check on Tyel's condition.

'Ahhh, my head…' Tyel was still with his eyes closed, and his whole body was in pain. 'Ouch, my head…' Tyel tried to remember what happened, and in his mind, the scenes of when he fell down the stairs were played again.

'I died… well, I should be in my bed now… wait…' Tyel realized what he had told himself these days, that he couldn't turn back because he would find himself in the Seamstress's room. "The Seamstress!!" shouted Tyel as he opened his eyes. As he opened them, he found everyone else looking at him, but Tyel wasn't in the Seamstress's room; he was still in the rebels' base.

"Tyel, you're awake!" shouted Orechin in a reassuring tone. 'What happened? I hadn't died… but why did I even fall off the stairs… I remember falling off because… because…' Tyel tried to remember what happened, when he remembered that it was because he had heard Chud's voice on the other side of the entrance.

"Martheel and Chud!" Tyel was sure that before falling unconscious, he had heard Martheel and Chud's voices. As he noticed that everyone had a normal look on their faces the moment he mentioned these two names, he moved his head and realized that Martheel and Chud were right behind the sofa on which Tyel was resting.

"Hey, you're awake…" said Martheel as he rubbed his hand against his head, not knowing how to start the conversation after he and Chud had stalked him.

"Tyel!!! You aren't hurt, right?" Chud didn't wait for anyone and immediately launched himself to hug his friend, who was caught by surprise. 'It wasn't a dream… but…'

The moment Chud got away from Tyel, he looked at the clock and noticed that midnight hadn't passed yet. 'I still have time… I can revert all of this and…' Tyel wanted to get up from the sofa, but the moment he tried to step on his feet, his body couldn't hold him, and he fell back again onto the sofa.

"You're still weak. You shouldn't get up; remain on the sofa, Tyel… it's not like you have anywhere else to go…" said Darian as he moved his eyes towards Martheel and Chud, who had a lot of questions.

"He's right… you never told us about this secret life of yours, Tyel?" asked Martheel curiously. Neither he nor Chud could have ever imagined that Tyel was in the same group as the rebels, when he was a guard of the city.

"I'll answer… but before that… What the hell are you two doing here?!!" asked Tyel, who still couldn't believe his eyes.

"Well, we followed you the moment you got away from the prison…" started to tell Chud, before he got interrupted by Martheel, who began to explain what happened after Tyel passed out.

The moment Tyel had fallen unconscious on the floor, the boxes were moved by Chud and Martheel, and what looked to be a secret passage had been revealed.

The first thing that caught their eyes was their unconscious friend and all the people near him, who, the moment the boxes were removed, immediately pointed their hands towards them.

"They're intruders!" shouted Orechin. Lily created a root that with extreme speed rushed directly towards Chud and Martheel, who, taken by surprise, couldn't do anything to defend themselves, and their hands got blocked by the attack.

"Leave us! We're not doing anything bad!" yelled Chud. "Vane, take Tyel's body and bring it to the sofa," ordered Syrmax. Vane, who was now fully awake, nodded his head. "Alright!" As Vane did what Syrmax asked him to do, Martheel recognized that face.

"Hey, you're Syrmax! The rebel!" shouted Martheel as he realized who these people in front of him were. "Tyel!! Hey, where are you bringing him!!" barked Chud angrily.

"Pull them inside… we don't want anyone outside to discover this place," said Orechin. Lily nodded her head, and other roots appeared under the two men and closed their feet together, and Lily began to pull them towards her.

"I'll close the door," said Darian as he passed right next to Martheel and Chud, who were trying to free themselves, and recognized the two men. "Hey… now that I've got a closer look, I recognize you two…" Darian looked at Chud trying to free himself when he realized who the person in front of him was.

"You're one of the guards at the prison!" shouted he the moment he closed the entrance with the boxes.

"Dammit… what have you done to Tyel? Weren't you supposed to be good people?" barked Martheel. He wasn't someone who hated the rebels; in fact, like almost tons of other people in the city, he believed what the rebels were doing was right, but as he looked at Tyel's condition, he got worried.

"Are these people the rebels, Martheel? What are you even saying?" shouted Chud. As Syrmax and Orechin heard this name, their eyes opened in surprise.

"What happened?" asked Darian near Orechin as he noticed the look on his face; soon, it became a smirk.

"Oh, so you're Martheel? And I guess you're supposed to be Chud?" asked Orechin. As the two men raised their heads and noticed the smirk on Orechin's face, they looked confused.

"How do you know my name?" said Chud. Martheel felt he understood something, so he was able to calm himself down.

"Lily, free them… they're not dangerous," said Orechin as he turned around and grabbed a chair, and as he sat down on it, he looked at the two men still trapped.

"What do you mean, free them? Didn't Darian say that they are guards?" asked Lily, unsure of what she should do.

"Chud and Martheel…" whispered Syrmax. As he adjusted his monocle, his eyes opened widely. "Hey, you two are Tyel's friends! He has told us about you," said Syrmax.

"And then… I guess the thing that Tyel was hiding from us was that he was in the rebels?" asked Martheel. The moment Orechin nodded his head, Lily removed the roots, and while Chud fell with his face on the floor, Martheel was moving his wrist after it had been blocked for some minutes.

"So? What are you two doing here?" asked Orechin. "I'm sure Tyel has always done what he could to hide the fact that he's in the rebels…" added he.

"Yeah, and no one has discovered that yet, except for us, who had followed him the moment he came outside of the prison…" said Martheel as he looked at his unconscious friend laying on the sofa. 'I wonder how he'll react the moment he'll see us here…' thought Martheel, as he wanted to laugh thinking about Tyel's reaction the moment he'll talk with Tyel, but couldn't do it because of the situation.

"And this summarizes almost everything… while you were unconscious, we just talked about ourselves and we started to know each other better…" said Martheel. Tyel had a scared and surprised look on his face.

'These two, no… but I can't move to kill myself… I can't revert this day… and prevent them from finding out about this…' Tyel wanted to kill himself so that he would restart the day and prevent these two from arriving in the rebels' base, but as his body couldn't move, he realized that he was stuck and he couldn't use his power.

"Well, and we talked about the fact that we can't hide the truth from them anymore… so we've decided to let them join the rebels. Having someone who gives us more information will surely be helpful," said Orechin. A horrified look appeared on Tyel's face after hearing that.
