She never liked crowds.
Not because they frightened her, but because she never felt like she belonged among them.
While everyone laughed in groups, she observed.
While everyone talked endlessly, she listened.
And while everyone tried to fit in… she simply existed.
She was eighteen, yet her thoughts felt as heavy as if she had lived several lifetimes.
She was intelligent—too intelligent. She could solve problems in minutes that took others hours to understand. But there was one thing even she couldn't solve: that constant feeling of not belonging to this world.
As if her soul… came from somewhere else.
Sometimes, at night, she stared at the sky longer than she should.
And sometimes…
she felt as though the sky was staring back.
Since childhood, she had always felt something strange whenever she looked up.
It wasn't admiration.
It was recognition.
As if those distant lights were not unfamiliar… as if they knew her.
Sometimes she dreamed of places that didn't exist on Earth. Places where the sky shone brighter, where the air felt lighter, where she didn't feel out of place.
But when she woke up, everything vanished.
She became the same girl as always. The one who walked alone through the hallways. The one no one truly tried to know.
Until one night, everything changed.
She couldn't sleep.
There was something restless inside her, something that refused to let her rest. She got out of bed and walked toward the window.
The sky was different.
One star shone brighter than the others.
Much brighter.
It didn't flicker. It didn't fade. It remained still.
As if it were watching her.
A chill ran down her spine.
And then…
the star moved.
Not like a shooting star.
It moved slowly.
Directly toward her.
And for the first time in her life…
she wasn't afraid.
She felt like she was looking at home.
