Back in the house I pull up a chair besides my cot and a sitting table, then go to the kitchen and fill a large bowl with warm water, setting down the steaming bowl on the sitting table, I move to the linens closet and grab out a couple of clean towels, returning to Enid's side I set all but on towel down on the chair and then dip the one towel I kept in my hands into the bowl, soak it, raise it out of the water wring the excess water from the towel and begin using it to clean the caked on dirt and dried blood from Enid's body.
'One thing I could have done without is a Witcher's enhanced sex drive combined with being a horny though of legal age teenager.' I express in my thoughts annoyance at my own body's thirstiness especially in this situation.
Seeing as Enid is all cleaned up I start cleaning off her blood that had soaked through my clothes, once clean I pick Enid up from the cot and carry her upstairs to the bedroom I have claimed for myself but haven't used for much more than clothes storage, as all of Enid's clothes had to be burned along with mine I put a pair of my boxers on her along with one of my hooded sweatshirts.
Having memorized Enid's sizes before burning the remains of her Nevermore academy uniform and underwear, I head outside and get in Bobby's Chevelle heading for Walmart.
Once there I grab all the clothes necessities Enid will need including the girl soaps and shampoos that are natural but extremely light on the scents, having no idea how sensitive a werewolf's sense of smell actually is I erred on the side of caution.
'She's going to need to eat to replenish herself.' I think while picking up some new sweat clothes for myself before heading over to the produce section and grabbing quite a bit of red meat before heading for the check out.
"Coffee, must get coffee…" I suddenly say as if I'm some kinda possessed zombie hungering for brains and then become startled by an amused throaty giggle.
Whipping my head around I find Jody Mills out of uniform, looking totally fine as hell in tight fitting stretchy pants and a compression sports top, that really highlights what she's got to offer on the physical spectrum.
My eyes roave over the milfy cop mommy of my dreams and an almost pleased but annoyed look flashes in her eyes at my very obvious perverted appreciation of her.
"You have a girlfriend already…and she's getting you to buy her clothes…she's not taking advantage of you…is she?" Jody starts to tease me but goes from teasing to concerned mommy in zero seconds flat, when she remembers my amnesia.
"Not a girlfriend…at least I don't think she is…a girl about my age showed up at Bobby's looking for him saying she was the granddaughter of a friend of his and that she needed a place to stay, the clothes that she had on were pretty ratty and ripped up so I came here to get her some new clothes…she didn't ask for them or anything I just felt like it is the right thing to do?" I lay it on thick and look at Jody like I'm seeking her approval and Jody practically melts as much as cop mommy can melt.
"That is very sweet of you Matthew, I would like to come talk to her and make sure everything is okay though…she could be dangerous or have run away from home…" Jody says and this time she doesn't stop herself from rubbing my cheek before ruffling my hair lightly.
"Umm, I don't mind…because I like you a lot, Sheriff Mills, but not today she's really tired and sleeping, but you could come tomorrow." I offer and Jody looks worried but accepting.
"Okay, first thing tomorrow morning…but if at any time she makes you feel weird or unsafe, get out of the house and call 911…Matthew." Jody says to me in a firm and concerned motherly tone.
"I will, I promise." I offer with a nod and resolute expression on my face, which makes Jody let out a soft sigh.
"Other than your new house guest, are you doing okay while Bobby Singer is in the hospital?" Jody asks me her voice less tense now that she's on a different topic than a girl possibly taking advantage of me.
I nod and hum, "Mmhmm, I got the house cleaned up and painted…it's really a nice place it just needed some…TLC." I offer but make it sound like a question at the end which draws a soft amused sound out of Jody.
"I see…you're a very sweet and kind young man…I'm sure Singer appreciates having you around." Jody says almost sounding like a proud mother, before her cellphone starts ringing, a sigh escapes her.
"Duty calls." She mutters and ruffles my hair one last time and walks away while answering her phone, with my enhanced hearing I can pick up most of her conversation.
"Another one…with his heart missing? Damn this is starting to sound like a serial killer…Emerson put out a public service announcement that the parks and camping grounds are being shut down and that the Sheriff's department is issuing a ten pm curfew starting tonight." Jody says into her phone but is soon too far out of range for me to hear the rest of her conversation.
'The werewolf that took Enid's friend must have killed the hunter that was tracking it…finding Enid's friend and this werewolf is top priority.' My brain supplies unhelpfully as I grab a couple cans of coffee and a couple bottles of honey to sweeten it with, with my coffee supply secured I head to the front of the store and cash out, and return to Bobby's driving a little faster than us strictly legal.
Carrying my purchases into the house, I throw a large frying pan onto the stove and begin cooking the ten pounds of red meant. I hear the solid thump against the wood floor upstairs, which makes me reach out and turn the dial which in turn shuts off the gas stove burner.
I sprint upstairs and find the girl who looks like Enid struggling to stand, the wolfishness that had been in her appearance is gone but yet I can still see her nature as a werewolf.
