But Daniella was already annoyed now.
"Why exactly am I getting blamed because your man couldn't stay loyal?"
Isabella looked furious enough to explode again.
"You—"
"And besides," Daniella interrupted tiredly, "I already have a father."
That part made the room quiet slightly.
Because logically—
She was right.
Daniella herself had never once claimed anything about the Delacroix family.
If resemblance truly existed, then the only possible explanation would have to come from somewhere else entirely.
And strangely enough—
The more Daniella looked at Alfred Delacroix now, the less she believed he had anything to do with her personally.
He didn't resemble her mother closely enough for that feeling in her chest to settle properly.
Daniella stared at Isabella for several long seconds before speaking again. "How about your husband takes DNA tests with all his children first?"
