Daniella looked up. "What face?"
"The one that says you're plotting something."
"I am not plotting anything."
"You absolutely are."
Luciano didn't even glance up from his coffee. "She's planning an escape route."
Daniella pointed her fork at him. "You two are extremely annoying."
Thiago grinned. "See? That's the face."
She rolled her eyes and went back to her food.
A moment later, Thiago leaned forward. "How about we go shopping?"
The suggestion caught her off guard. "What?"
"Shopping," he repeated.
Luciano looked alarmed. "No."
"I wasn't asking you," Thiago said.
"You should have."
Daniella glanced between them. "Why shopping?"
Thiago shrugged. "Because so far your time here has been nothing but getting arrested, meeting angry families, and questioning your entire existence."
"When you say it like that, my life sounds terrible."
"It is terrible."
"Thanks."
"You're welcome."
Luciano sighed heavily.
