"In Tenkai, there's no clear sense of time. I only know that a very, very long time passed—so long that even the divine side of me grew bored and chose to fall into slumber. And then… I heard your call. A powerful force pulled me from that sleep. That was when I finally understood—my mission was to descend to the Lower World… to find you."
Faen listened quietly, understanding dawning in his heart.
So that was it.
The system had summoned her into the past, placing her in Tenkai as a god. Only today had it awakened her from slumber and returned her to his side.
All those years of waiting finally had their answer.
"Come on. I'll take you home."
Faen stood and extended his hand.
"Home?"
Furina blinked, then her beautiful heterochromatic eyes lit up. Smiling brightly, she took his hand.
...
When Faen brought Furina back to the village, a small commotion was unavoidable.
Villagers paused their work and looked curiously at the stunning girl who had suddenly appeared.
But there was no interrogation—only curiosity.
Because at a glance, they could tell she was no ordinary mortal.
That indescribable sacred aura, the flawless beauty that seemed almost unreal—everything about her proclaimed her identity as a god.
For a village near Dragon Valley, where adventurers and even gods occasionally passed through—such a sight was rare, but not unimaginable.
Faen led Furina through the village and back to the wooden cabin.
"This is it."
He pushed open the door.
Furina looked around with curiosity. Though simple, the interior was spotless—carrying a quiet sense of tranquility and resilience.
Faen turned to her without hesitation. His blue eyes were steady and burning with resolve.
"Furina. Engrave your Falna on me."
He had waited far too long for this day.
If not for the system's restriction, he would have joined any Familia long ago—just to earn the right to stand at the starting line.
Furina understood the urgency in his face.
She nodded firmly, excitement written all over her face.
"Of course! I've wanted to establish our own Familia for ages. Hmph—let those gods in Tenkai see that I, Furina, am not just some shut-in god who only sleeps!"
In this world, forming a Familia and witnessing its members grow was one of the greatest joys for any god who descended to the Lower World.
As the human side of Focalors, she was no exception.
Faen removed his shirt without hesitation.
His toned upper body was revealed.
Years of training had carved away every trace of excess. Beneath smooth muscle lines lay explosive power.
Furina's face flushed instantly.
In Tenkai, she had been famously reclusive. She could count the number of gods she'd interacted with on two hands—let alone standing this close to a mortal man.
She quickly averted her gaze, her heartbeat accelerating.
"Ahem. Y-You… lie face down on the bed."
She tried to sound composed.
Faen did as told.
Taking a deep breath, Furina produced a silver needle—finer than a sewing needle, from the tools every god carried.
She stared at her delicate finger for a long moment before squeezing her eyes shut and pricking it lightly.
"Ah—!"
The tiny sting immediately made her pout.
If she had to repeat this "blood ritual" every time she updated a member's Status—or welcomed someone new... she might just cry.
A droplet of pale blue blood shimmered at her fingertip, radiating divine purity.
Without delay, she pressed it onto Faen's broad back and began tracing divine script with practiced movements.
Knowledge of the Falna was instinctive to any god after descending.
And then—
Something wondrous happened.
In the past, no matter which god attempted it, their divine blood would be repelled from Faen's skin—as though blocked by an invisible force.
But this time, Furina's divine blood merged into him gently—like a traveler finally returning home.
As her finger moved gracefully across his back, complex and ancient divine characters illuminated one by one.
At last, they formed an intricate emblem:
A set of scales symbolizing Justice intertwined with a teardrop representing Water, glowing softly in blue.
It worked.
The Falna was successfully engraved.
More sacred text appeared beneath the emblem, detailing everything about Faen at this very moment.
"Wow!"
Furina gasped in delight, leaning closer as her mismatched eyes widened in astonishment.
"Amazing! Faen, you're incredible!"
Though she admitted she didn't fully understand all the numerical values yet, she was clearly impressed.
"You were born with a Development Ability already! And three Skills! And a Magic! And—and you even have two empty Magic slots! I've heard that's incredibly rare!"
She was so excited she nearly bounced in place, as though the talent belonged to her.
Remembering her duties, she quickly copied the divine script onto a parchment sheet—translating it into the common tongue of the Lower World and handed it to him.
Then she lightly touched his back again, murmuring softly.
The glowing Falna faded and vanished.
This was called "Locking."
Unless one used an expensive "Unlocking Potion," only Furina herself could reveal and update his Status.
...
Faen took the warm parchment.
Fourteen years of waiting.
Six years of relentless training.
Everything would be revealed now.
