The next day passed quietly, but Samantha was distant and quieter than usual.
Mike kept wondering if he had done something wrong. Maybe it was because of what had happened yesterday. He didn't know what to say… or even if he should say anything at all.
He kept thinking about what he should tell her. Finally, he gathered the courage and walked toward her.
"We need to go."
Samantha said it as she grabbed an empty bag and walked past him without even looking him in the eyes.

Kelly's usual timid voice pulled him out of his thoughts.
"What is it?"
"Did you two fight?"
"What?"
"You know… you and Samantha."
"Uh… no."
Mike said it, not even sure himself if it was true.
He looked at Kelly's face. It wasn't cheerful like usual. This time, she looked serious—like something was bothering her.
"Did something happen?"
"N-no… it's just that I have a bad feeling about today."
"What do you mean?"
"I… had a dream last night. Not that I believe in things like that, but… something bad happened to us."
Mike looked at her, confused.
"What kind of dream was it?"
"I saw Samantha… pushing you away… pushing all of us away… and leaving us behind."
Mike didn't fully understand what she meant, but when he heard her words, a chill ran through his body.
He didn't know why, but he felt like her dream… might come true today.
The strange thing was… he had seen a similar dream these past few days.
"Kelly, calm down. It's just a dream, right?"

Kelly sat next to him. Her hair was black, reaching down to her back, and her eyes were bright brown. When she looked at Mike, it felt like she could see straight into his soul. A small scar rested on her forehead.
"How did you get that scar?"
Mike immediately realized he might have made her feel uncomfortable.
"Sorry, I didn't mean..."
Kelly interrupted him.
"It's okay… When I was little, I accidentally bumped into a drunk guard. He got angry and threw something heavy at my head… What about you? How did you get yours?"
"James told me that if I stole a file, it would help us escape. I managed to take it… but they caught me."
"I'm so sorry…"
Silence followed for a moment, but Kelly broke it.
"Hey, Mike…"
"What is it?"
"Have you noticed that everyone is quiet today?"
Mike looked at the others, who were preparing to rob the warehouse. Usually, there were voices and laughter. But this time, everyone was getting ready in silence.
It was… unsettling.
As if they all knew something bad was about to happen, but no one was saying it out loud.
Mike turned back to Kelly.
She was serious… but this time, she felt different.
Almost unnatural.
As if… she didn't belong in this world.
