Chapter 8 - Chapter- 8

Once again the killing frenzy began, as Mark hunted the fishes like crazy, but this time his killing started midway, when suddenly his agility stat reached 20 point.

So much in his killing fun Mark was that when the warm energy inside his body started turning into raging flame, he did not realize, when suddenly the hotness of his own inside hit him hard.

Clutching his stomach, Mark fell right there defenseless, and seeing this the fishes became so excited that they started jumping out of the lake, rushing towards him.

But Mark had no energy to look or defend against them, his body was going crazy, his mind was going crazy, his very soul was going crazy as he felt himself burning from inside out.

Just when Mark thought he was done for, the rampant energy went back to becoming ethereal, as the pain that was making him go crazy disappeared too, and it all happened within seconds, leaving him stunned.

As he saw the fishes crazily rushing towards him, making him hurriedly slap his palm towards the ground to make him jump and stand up, as he grabbed the slingshot, made the stones appear one after another and started shooting at the upcoming fishes.

He was fast, so fast that before fishes could even realize, the stones slither them hard.

In a single second, more than five stones hit them everywhere, slithering two to three fishes together, while Mark who was doing it was even more stunned seeing this scene.

He couldn't understand how and why his hands were working this fast, how and why his eyes were catching even the smallest details of his surroundings, and how and why his body was feeling so light that he felt he could jump the entire lake in a single jump and fall to the other side of it which was cut from between by the burning lake.

As he saw the fishes jumping back inside the lake in horror and swimming far away in terror, but all this was too late, as Mark must've already killed more than thirty of them before they jumped back to the lake.

As clutching his fists, Mark felt the power running in his body. For a second, he felt invincible, as if he could do anything his mind was set to. Run this entire island in a single run, as somehow he controlled this reckless feeling and made his status bar reappear again.

Besides his stat points increasing, Mark saw nothing special, but he was sure as hell that some type of transformation occurred in his body which made his agility literally increase more than three times than before.

His speed, his reflex, his thinking process, his reaction speed, his senses, he could feel everything working thrice or maybe even more times than that.

So he simply couldn't understand why his status panel wasn't showing anything even after him transforming so much.

Maybe he was missing something; or maybe finally all the stats which he had previously stole were showing their true power.

The transformation maybe unleashed all the power which was slowly transforming his body.

Maybe his killing spree and stealing of so many stats made all this craziness happened, which in real would've taken enough time to occur naturally.

The more Mark thought about this, the more he found it plausible, as nodding his head he started running towards another location to kill more fishes.

But this time his goal was to make his Vitality stat reach 20 points. If his agility stat could increase his agility so much, then maybe his vitality stat could increase his vitality enough to heal all of his wounds, which were kept rupturing due to his intense killing and movements.

He needed to increase his vitality stat as soon as possible and start hunting humans again.

Three hours had already passed since everything started, yet less than 200 people had died.

Heck, most of them must've died because of the monsters of this island instead of humans killing each other.

While the more time would pass, the more difficult it would become to kill everyone, as he wasn't the only one going around killing and increasing his stat points, others were doing the same, at least the three humans whom he thought would die reaching the lake, were now doing the same thing as him.

They hadn't moved since they reached the lake and the red dots hadn't disappeared, which only meant one thing that they also found this farming ground and were now increasing their stats.

If he was right then these three were the biggest adversaries of his, the police officers.

Unlike John, who came alone to hunt him, these three would stick together to hunt him, leaving him no chance.

So the only way to hunt them was to heal completely, slaughter the weak humans, increase his stat points, and then hunt them as soon as he was 100% sure.

Hitting two birds with one stone.

Otherwise, no matter how many stat points he increased, it would all be for naught. So, eating four pieces of cooked fish, again he started.

But this time, he was fast, much more efficient. If before he had to shoot five times to kill one fish, as they were too agile for his speed, then now he could do the same job in three hits.

Within half an hour he was done, as before the last 0.1 remaining vitality stat could fill, he hid inside one of the trees, making sure that unlike last time, he wasn't completely vulnerable.

As he again pulled two pieces of cooked fishes to make sure that one of the two stats was vitality after he was done consuming them both.
