"W-Where are you taking me, Mark? *Sob* Leave me….. LEAVE MEEEE..." Nora cried as she tried to dig into Mark's hand with her nails, but it was as if his body was made of steel, she couldn't even do that, as she saw Mark stop and gently sit in front of her and rub her face with his index finger and thumb.
"Of course to take you meet your family, Nora. Don't you know your parents and brother are also here? Alive. Looking for you. By taking you there to meet them, how great of deed I will do. After that, of course I will have to kill them in front of you, burn them to crisp just like Ella and Zoey and then give you a quick death you deserve, won't you like that, hmm…" Mark smiled as he gently wiped Nora's falling tears.
But Nora was a goner, the word that came out of Mark's mouth, made the horror she had just felt ring again in her ears, while the image of her parents and brother dying the same death, no, maybe even more horrible death made her tremble in terror.
"No, you can't, no you can't, no you can't, Mark…. Pleaseeeeee... you can't, you just can't Mark….. I will do everything you want….. *Sob* I will jump alive in lake to appease you... Get bitten by thousand ants…. *Sob* Just leave them alone pleaseeeeee...… Markkkkk….." Nora cried terribly as tears couldn't stop falling from her eyes, making Mark to wipe them again and again.
"I will, so tell me, why did Carl came to beat me with others? What did you say to make him so angry at me that he did not even wanted to listen to my justification, hmm...?" Mark asked as he made Nora look him in the eye.
Seeing him and hearing his question, Nora felt as if she had got out of one pit just to fall onto another pit, as she sobbed "I said nothing, Mark. It was all Brock, I promise you….. It was truly really Brock. He said everything. He filled Carl's ears."
"I just told Carl to not come to class and meet me outside instead just as you asked.... But Brock said that you were jealous and wanted me for yourself, that was why you wanted to separate us. He filled his ears, Mark, I promise you….. I am not lying… Just leave my parents alive. I will answer all your question."
Nodding his head, Mark rubbed her head dearly "I know you will, Nora. You will answer every question, and you will be truthful, and I will believe you, like I am supposed to, otherwise your parents will die horrible death because of you, just like Zoey and Ella died. So tell me, who told Ella and Zoey to lie in the court that I made pass at Ella, that I touched her wrongly because of which everyone got angry and came to beat me up, hmmm… Who manipulated this story, speak."
Crying and wiping her tears, Nora sniffed "It was one of Carl's fathers Advocate, he gave money to everyone. He even promised everyone scholarship…"
"Plus, there was Brock's father too, who threatened to kill us if we did not do what they asked us to. He looked crazy enough to do that Mark, even my parents were afraid of him. Losing Brock made him lose his sanity, everyone was afraid, we had no other option."
Nodding his head, Mark spoke "So everyone was at fault beside you. I understand. Everything is finally getting clear here." As he pointed his finger towards his head.
But listening to Mark, Nora felt his sanity losing "I too am a victim of all this Mark…. *Sob* I never thought such a small thing would escalate to something so big. It was all Brock's fault. He dragged everyone. He was jealous of you for some reason. He just….. I don't know Mark…. I just don't know….."
Saying that she fell to the ground, not even having energy to answer any more question, cuz the more she tried to explain herself, the more she looked like a person who was manipulated instead of the main perpetrator, and she knew that was the last thing Mark wanted to hear.
"But I know…" Suddenly she heard Mark say, making her raise her head "What do you know?"
Smiling Mark replied "The reason why he wanted me gone or beaten up hard enough to know my place, cuz I knew his secret which I think no one know, even Carl, maybe even his other best friends."
Confused and curious Nora asked "And what is that?"
"None of your business." Mark replied as he changed the subject and came to the main point which he was dying to know "Now, tell me, how did you appear here? I thought you were at the District Court, weren't you?"
Shaking her head and wiping her tears, Nora replied "They transported everyone after the massacre you did to preserve the scene. I was in the car with Ella and Zoey, which Carl's father had sent for us. Then the sky blasted and we found ourselves here."
Contemplating, Mark spoke "So you weren't at the district court, then how far were you away from the Costa Mountain?"
Thinking, Nora replied "Not that far away, but later we changed our pathway when we heard where you were trying to run to, then suddenly the sky boomed and everyone flew in it."
Smiling, Mark heaved a sigh of relief "Okay, now I got all the answers I needed."
His parents didn't come here, because they must've gone into different car which must've not approached the area closer to Costa Mountain, but others did, so they all appeared here.
But he still did not had the answer as to how and why Carl's and other students parents came to near that area.
Were they there to make sure that he died? Were they there to kill him?
Why not?
Anyone in their sane mind would want to make sure that the person who slaughtered their family members dies, not to live another day.
For that even if one had to sacrifice oneself, so what?
Anyway, whatever the case, now most of his enemies were in a place where they just couldn't run away from him.
And this was the biggest gift he could ask from this island, so it was time to finish the job he had started.
