Adal spent a few minutes going over Colette's first options for her skills and ended up making a decision for her.
It was a selfish decision, as the entire time, Adal was thinking about how such choices would benefit him.
The skill she ended up choosing was a skill called Truth Seeking Eye. It was a vision ability that would allow her to see through people's lies if they were a lower level than her, or unawakened. That way, if Adal was able to make her become strong enough, he could bring her to future political meetings, and use her to figure out whether people were lying to him or not.
"It will take some getting used to." Adal then explained to her. "I'm sure that with a skill like this, you will find out that the majority of humans are liars. Don't feel hurt by this, and think of it as a positive. It's better to see the lies than be deceived by them."
Colette took in the information and nodded her head hesitantly. It felt wrong to have such power.
