Chapter 3: The Blood That Time Forgot
A few years have slipped by. To be honest, trying to grow up without drawing too much attention was harder than I expected. Of course, in an era like this, whether being "invisible" is a blessing or a curse is still up for debate.
From what I've gathered, I'm somewhere in the very early stages of the Sengoku Period. We are still centuries away from the start of the main story. My mind is constantly racing with questions. Are the current reincarnations of Indra and Asura alive right now? How are the Tailed Beasts scattered across the world? And so many other things... But those aren't the things I should be worrying about right now.
'Then what should I be thinking about?' I can almost hear you asking.
'When did this clan go extinct?'
Yes, that is the most vital question right now. Again, you might ask why. That brings us to another point: The Chishio Clan. Yes, that's the name of my clan. It sounds majestic, doesn't it? Actually, it truly is. As for the reason... this clan is a damn Kekkei Tota clan.
Yes, you heard me right. KEKKEI TOTA.
Almost every member of the clan is born with this power. Some are gifted with strong bloodlines, while others, like me, are born into a "weak" lineage. This bloodline limit—formed by the fusion of Water, Earth, and Wind—creates an additional heart-like organ in the body, giving its host the power to manipulate blood itself.
I was just as shocked as you when I found out. Now you must understand why I'm so convinced this clan is doomed. If a clan this powerful hadn't been wiped out, we definitely would have seen them in the main story. They must have vanished in these early stages of the Sengoku period, before ninjutsu was even fully refined. If they had survived until the era where jutsu became more advanced, they would have been unstoppable. Or at least, that's my theory.
And then there's me. I have no cheats, no "golden finger," and on top of that, I have low blood purity. Not to mention that my knowledge of the future is almost useless here. Wait, I guess I just mentioned it.
Anyway, for now, all I can do is train my body and leave these words behind so my future self can tell our story. Yes, I admit the beginning of this tale is a bit messy, but I'm not a writer, so forgive me. Of course, that doesn't mean my future self will be too pathetic to tell a proper story.
Now, if you'll excuse me... let the real story begin.
