Before Huston arrived.
'Dark elves?! I thought this world was just an ancient normal world?!' Ariel thought as he shielded his twin sister behind him.
Everything in the house was destroyed by the dark elves, and the dark elf woman stood arrogantly with her hands crossed over her chest, like a judge judging a criminal, as she looked at Eyla, the twins' mother.
The dark elf woman turned her eyes to the corner and saw the twins. She squinted darkly as she said in an arrogant, commanding, and forceful tone,
"So it's true. You gave birth to two children and didn't register them. How arrogant you have become."
Eyla turned and saw her children and immediately ran to them to shield them from the dark elf woman.
"Please spare us. We just wanted them to live normally for a while before we register them," Eyla said, her eyes wide with fear and pleading.
"And why should I care about what you want? You are slaves, so behave like one,"
the dark elf woman said in an arrogant and angry tone.
"!!!!!!!"
'Slaves?! How the hell are we slaves?!' Ariel thought, his eyes filled with shock and confusion.
"Please! General Overseer! Just give us a year! Just a year and we will bring them for registration!!" Eyla shouted in a pleading tone, her body trembling with desperation.
"Hwaha! Hwaha!!" Uriel began to cry loudly from behind, as she also understood what was going on, but her child's mind couldn't take it in.
"Tsk! What a useless loud child!" the General Overseer said with annoyance.
"Hehehe! General, that little girl looks good. Let's nurture her well till maturity and have some fun with her, then we'll sell her for huge prices," one of the dark elf men said with a lustful smile, his eyes filled with desire.
'Wh… what?! How could they possibly think like that?!!' Ariel thought, his mind unsettled.
His heart beat wildly in his small chest as his breathing became ragged with anger. Heat from that anger spread throughout his body.
This was the sister he swore to protect, and now that dark elf man was talking about her like that in front of him!
"Oi! Oi! Look at this kid!" Another dark elf man moved closer to them. Eyla moved to protect her kids even more with her trembling body despite her fear.
"Such heated eyes," the dark elf man said with a twisted smile. "Maybe you won't work as a miner like your father, but as a manwh*re!! Hahahaha!!"
For the first time in his life, Ariel was truly angry. Back on Earth, the only time he had been truly angry was when he was robbed, but that anger wasn't as intense as what he was feeling at that moment.
"Please! Don't!" Eyla shouted as she stood firmly in front of her kids, guarding them.
"Ooh, there's one way to get out of this situation," the General Overseer said.
Eyla's eyes immediately turned bright with hope, thinking she might be able to save her kids if the General Overseer gave permission.
"Please, tell me! I'll do anything!" Eyla pleaded with bright desperation.
"Oh? Anything?" the General Overseer said, her eyes gleaming with cunning cruelty.
"Yes, please, anything! I'll do anything, just please spare my children!" Eyla pleaded as she completely bowed her head before the General Overseer.
'Mother!' Ariel clenched his fists tightly in anger, his chest heaving up and down as the rage inside him threatened to break loose.
Uriel, behind Ariel, was crying desperately, her mind in chaos.
The three dark elf men were laughing in contempt and… lust.
"Then you should know that my subordinates work day and night to monitor you humans and make sure you do your work, right?" the General Overseer asked with a cunning smile.
"Yes! Yes! I know about that!" Eyla raised her head and replied.
"After work, they need something to release their stress on. But the human women supply isn't much, so you have to take your part in it. Only then will I overlook you and your husband not reporting the birth of your children and not registering them."
BADUMP!!!
Eyla was no fool. She understood exactly what the General Overseer meant.
Human women who had no choice only had two roles. One was to be sold as slaves, and the other was to be used like toys. There was another option, if they quickly got married, then they could live with their human husbands. If not, only hell awaited them.
Eyla's eyes widened in despair as she fully grasped what the General Overseer said. This was much worse than she had imagined.
But there was someone else who understood as well.
Ariel.
At that moment, the anger he had been trying with all his might to suppress was about to burst.
This was never what he had imagined about an isekai life back on Earth.
From what he knew on Earth, dark elves were the opposite of nature elves. They were not purely evil. In fact, they looked similar to humans in behavior. But they never wore evilness like clothing the way these elves in front of him did.
"You people…" Ariel said, his voice low and shaky.
"Hmm…" The dark elves turned to look at him with curiosity.
"Don't you have a shred of humanity?" Ariel said, his body shaking and heating internally. The air around him trembled lightly, almost unnoticeable.
"See this brat ooo! Talking bey…!"
"!!!!!"
SWOOSH!!!
BANG!!!
A punch moved so fast that the dark elf couldn't dodge or react in time. He stood frozen in confusion until the punch landed cleanly on his face and burst it apart.
Ariel landed with a thud from the air. He had jumped so fast and punched the dark elf, killing him instantly.
Everyone in the room was stunned, unable to understand what just happened.
"Wh… what?!!" The General Overseer was shocked because the little kid in front of her had done something forbidden.
"Quick! Seize him immediately! He has awakened his bloodline powers!!" the General Overseer shouted to her remaining two subordinates.
"What?! How's that possible?!"
Though the remaining two were in shock, they immediately moved without wasting time and attacked Ariel.
Eyla immediately pulled Uriel into her arms to shield her from the chaos unfolding before them. But her mind was in turmoil because she knew her son had broken a law.
Ariel, whose eyes were wide open but blank, disappeared right in front of them with inhuman speed.
"What?! Where did he go?!!"
The dark elves shouted as they searched around, their faces paling in fear.
FOOSH!
From behind one of the dark elves, Ariel appeared, his arms drawn back before he punched forward. The air twisted faintly around his small fist as it landed cleanly on the dark elf's back.
BANG!!
HUEK!!!
The dark elf was sent flying across the room, crashing through the window and destroying it. His body hung upside down as blood flowed out, staining the ground red.
"Wh… what a monster!! But it ends here!!" the General Overseer shouted as she raised her hand and pointed her open palm toward Ariel.
"Die, you mongrel!"
From her palm, red fire burst out like a cannon and shot toward Ariel, burning everything in its path.
Just as the flaming blast was about to hit him, Ariel disappeared from his spot and reappeared in front of the remaining dark elf subordinate, ready to attack.
But the dark elf was more vigilant now after seeing two of his comrades die at this small kid's hands.
"You low-life bastard!! Take this!" the dark elf shouted as he swung his sword, glowing with what seemed like evil energy.
Ariel used his martial arts skills and dodged the dark elf's strike.
"What?!"
The dark elf was stunned that a small kid had dodged his attack so easily. Just as he prepared to strike again, Ariel punched his stomach.
HUEK!!!
The dark elf's belly caved in, and he flew across the room with force. He fainted on the spot from the heaviness of the punch but did not die.
The General Overseer stood trembling as she watched all her subordinates taken out already.
Although she was the General Overseer, she wasn't the true leader. It had only been entrusted to her to handle things.
"You bastard! You will regret this!" Without further words, the General Overseer took out a small white orb from the pouch around her waist and smashed it on the floor.
A bright white light exploded, engulfing the entire room. After three seconds, everything returned to normal.
When Eyla raised her head, she couldn't find the General Overseer. She knew she had taken that chance to escape.
Her heart felt heavy as all hope vanished.
They were doomed.
Ariel, whose eyes had been blank, regained their color as he looked around.
Destruction and blood.
Immediately, everything he had done replayed in his mind, and he began to shake, not with rage this time, but with remorse.
He had crossed a path he shouldn't have, and there was no going back.
Never in his life had he taken the lives of others.
The remorse he felt at that moment was heavier than his rage.
'What have I done?! I killed people!'
"Ariel!"
Ariel turned and saw his father running toward him, his eyes wide with fear.
He thought his father was afraid of him for what he had done, that he would hate him and send him away. He was fully prepared to face his father's harsh judgment.
But…
HUGG!!!
Huston lifted his son into his arms and embraced him tightly, whispering into Ariel's ears with a tearful yet joyful voice,
"Thank you."
