Addison turned toward Daniel and barked out a harsh question.
"Who are you? Why are you summoning a supreme-grade powerhouse here?"
Daniel let out a cold snort and could not even be bothered to answer him.
When had Addison ever suffered such contempt?
His expression instantly turned incomparably ugly.
Yet before he could erupt, an aged and imposing figure slowly stepped out of the void and stood in front of Daniel.
It was an elderly man with snow-white hair, dressed in ancient, simple armor and holding an old wooden staff.
A faint glow shrouded his entire body, obscuring all his features. Only the calmness radiating from him remained visible—a tranquil composure that seemed to have seen through all worldly matters.
"Young man,"
The old man turned back to look at Daniel, his voice low and gentle.
"I shall aid you for only twenty minutes. After twenty minutes, regardless of victory or defeat, I will leave."
Daniel gave a slight nod. "That will be enough. Thank you, sir."
