The royal carriage thundered toward the northern gates, soldiers riding behind it in perfect formation.
Inside, Lucas sat silently, eyes closed — but not resting.

A voice echoed from behind.
The captain turned. "Your Highness — someone is approaching!"
A lone horse raced through the snow-covered road.

She pulled the reins sharply and jumped down, breathless but determined.
Lucas stepped out of the carriage, expression instantly cold.
"Lady Jenny Astral."
Jenny bowed quickly.
"Your Highness… please don't go to the north."
His eyes narrowed.
"And why is that?"
Jenny's mind raced for an excuse.
"Because… because the northern region is dangerous right now! Storms, monsters, unstable magic…"
Lucas stepped closer, towering over her.
"Are you trying to stop me?"
Jenny's heart pounded.
She remembered June's worried face.
If Lucas reached the tower and discovered the truth…

Lucas stared at her for a long moment.

"Fine."
Jenny blinked.

"If you're that concerned," Lucas continued calmly,"then you will come with me."

His golden eyes were sharp, almost knowing.
"You clearly know more about the north than you're saying."
He turned away.
"Bring her along."
The captain nodded. "Yes, Your Highness."
Jenny stood there in shock as a soldier gently guided her toward the carriage.
"This was NOT the plan…" she whispered to herself.

Jenny sat stiffly across from Lucas, trying not to panic.
Lucas watched her quietly.
"Tell me, Lady Jenny."
Her heart skipped.

She forced a smile.
"I don't know what you mean, Your Highness."
Silence filled the carriage.
Then Lucas looked out the window toward the endless white horizon.
