Chapter 1 - Beyond the Strange Door

First Episode:

Evening light was slowly fading away. In one corner of Kolkata stood an old mansion built in the style of a zamindar house, as if it quietly guarded years of silent memories within its walls. In the vast garden in front of that house worked Shima's father—the gardener of the estate. And since childhood, Shima had grown up surrounded by the scent of flowers, the touch of soil, and a quiet loneliness.

Shima was a quiet girl with deep eyes. She rarely smiled, but when she did, it felt as if sunlight had broken through the mist. Vijay—the son of the house's owner—was almost the same age as her and had grown up beside her. Sitting under the mango tree telling stories, running over dry leaves, playing hide-and-seek—everything formed their own little world.

But as they grew older, an invisible wall slowly began to rise within that simple bond. The people of the house saw Shima only as "the gardener's daughter." Though Vijay silently endured it all, a different kind of affection for Shima was clearly beginning to show in his eyes.

Then one day—everything changed.

That morning, like every other day, Shima had gone into the garden. But even as noon passed into evening, she did not return home. At first, everyone thought she must be sitting somewhere nearby. But as dusk fell, worry spread throughout the house.

Vijay searched like a madman—by the pond, in the mango orchard, along the old shaded paths. His throat was drying up, yet he kept calling out,

"Shima! Shima, where are you?"

Finally, they all reached the farthest end of the garden—a place no one had visited in years. Overgrown with weeds, covered in thorny bushes, beside a broken wall, something strange suddenly caught Vijay's eye.

A door on the wall.

But it was no ordinary door.

It seemed attached to the wall, yet no one had ever seen it before. It looked like old wood, but when touched, it felt cold like iron. Strange carvings were etched upon it—like flowers, yet also like flames. The handle was silver, but there was no lock.

Everyone froze. No one could speak.

Vijay remembered—some days ago, Shima had said,

"There is something in this garden that calls only to me."

Back then, he had laughed it off.

Today, those words pierced his ears like thorns.

The air suddenly grew cold. The trees around them seemed to tremble in silence. From the narrow crack of the door, a faint sound seemed to drift out—was someone calling?

Vijay slowly extended his hand toward the door.

And just then—the door opened slightly on its own.

The darkness inside was not an ordinary darkness. It was deep, unknown, and unsettling.

Everyone stared in stunned silence.

Was it a secret room?

Or a path to another world?

And Shima—was she beyond this door?
