Chapter 9 - The New Life

The lost soul once again found itself being taken to places that it had no knowledge of. No choice in deciding to where it should go. But once more, a light, not like tge one before. But one that welcomed him into a whole brand new world peeked and pierced his lost vision.

He saw it. Not hope. Not the place he came from. But something that him feel like... that this was truly a new beginning.

The lost soul opened its eyes to a new surrounding that felt all but oldly familiar and yet... it didn't like it.

"Kiria."

"Awww that's such a cute name~"

Two feminine voices blared out as one seemed exhausted yet glad and other was full of young adoration like as if a teenage girl was applauding the other woman.

These voices confused the lost who had no more than a second to think about all that was happening all around him before other voices rang out.

"Harmatha, that is such a beautiful name. Truly worthy of a Kakesh."

"Th-ank y-you, honey..."

"Oh dear the baby they baby?"

A masculine gentle vouce too congratulated the the feminine exhausted voice that fell into a faint as she slumped over a bit as the lost soul too felt its or his world shift at the same time all before being caught.

'Baby?' He thought as the surprise that should've flashed on his face remained as a shock that only he could feel as we now see him look through the eyes of a child. Born new to this world that was much similar to the one he once resided in.

In a room that smelled of disinfectant, blood, sweat and tears a man held a child who skin was a ripe glistening earth, his features as a normal baby's should. His eyes where white and dark brown signaling that life that flowed within. Its legs kicked around as its head turned sideways from east to west seemingly trying observe its new world and surroundings.

And as if understanding these actions the man who held this child with a gaze of accomplishment and care brushed his index finger against wet clumped strands of this baby's dark brown hair as he said,"Hey little Kiria, what are you looking for?"

As the baby's head continued to bobble around from left to right.

"I'm here little Kiria."

"Here here here, daddy's right here."

He called and called and called for the baby's attention and just when he was about to sigh in surrender, little Kiria's movements paused and resumed once more as he looked up at his father and smiled. His gums evidently shining with youth glass of his saliva as he laughed.

The man was surprised and all of a sudden the room fell silent. The girl who had been resting besides her drained mother had snapped into soberness as well as her mother whose left eye fluttered open as it barely managed to stay open.

Right about now the midwife was supposed to help and see if the baby could cry by bugging it into an expected cry. But what instead happened was-

"It laughed?" The teenage feminine voice mused in confusion.

"He, Jana." The mother corrected as she locked on or barely so in shock.

She wasn't scared nor really puzzled about just happened but rather she was excited. Glad and so happy that her heart beat have away at her true feelings even in this state where she could barely keep one eye open.

Jana's head obviously snapped back to her mother as hse looked at her with pure concern as she cautioned her to lay low on what she felt at that moment and reminded her that this baby boy needed a mother and father to nurture him until at least after the 'rite' right?

The woman's body relaxed and her eye slowly closed shut with a faint smile that never left her face as she slept with a calm breathe.

And surprisingly after, the man giggled as if he meant to keep it in.

"He he he."

He couldn't.

"Ah ha ha ha."

For his daughter had made him proud.

"Pfft, why are you laughing dad?"

"Ah ha ha ha ha...."

And his son.

"Why?"

"Yah why-he he he?" Jana mused as she found herself laughing at this as if she had been infected by her father's laughter.

"Ha ha ha. Its because i truly have such wonderful and truly special children."

And so after they laughed together further more. As we now ask ourselves, what of the lost soul?

Well, it didn't panic like few who'd think they'd know what to do right now could and instead fumble. But rather he watched on with a smile. One, because he had a name and identity now. And two, because the feeling that once left him alone now resided within not besides him. And this was all but the beginning if a truly warm story.

Or is it?
