Chapter 20 - The Dream of a War(2)

The lost soul's POV----

"Rwaaaaar!" A mighty complex of a man blared throughout the field on which red and silver danced.

Stomp, stomp! As two valiant warriors landed on foot somewhere close to the source of this sound as they told upon a greatly towering sugar tor that had could give one the greatest view of all what was supposed to a beautifully hot desert plain. Or at least what it looked like. Although this was the case. It had been stained with the blood if those that sparked this conflict that occurred amidst it and now looked more like a great tomb. A tomb of blood and heat that hosted the few string that remained and...

"I told you that we should've just stayed at the front line just in case anyone got close, right?"

"Yah yah I know my bad little brother, it's just so much fun dealing with the pests in the middle."

The fairly tall slender man as the tall muscular man retorted back with a hint of lazy dread in his voice.

They looked around as they saw the results of this battle. And they were... somewhat beautiful in their eyes. But with the fairly slender man having more accomplishment than satisfaction in his gaze. And soon after their gazes simultaneously focused in particular area on the crimson and orange battlefield. And as they did, they faces twisted in sour expressions that symbolized something beyond worry nor discomfort but rather...

"Shinrah, Chigwe!!!" A thunderous masculine voice boomed from the cloud of orange that dispersed from below. And from it again a figure now seen a gigantic silhouette stepped forward its aura seemingly cause the its surroundings to rapidly adjust to its preference. "How's the world like now, huh?" It mused with a menacing excitement that gleed at its tone.

It moved again. With a force that sent tremendous quake through ground. And widely so much so that it reached a dozen of the warriors who were left on the crimson field. And so they ceased their battle as a proper reaction to this, but not because of fear or caution but rather because of the respect they honed and were told to bare-

"Ah ha ha ha! It's been quite lovely you know. Ever since we decided that you needed some- 'personal space' to give a piece of your own mind you know?" Chigwe said as his smile evidently signaled more displeasure than amusement.

"Yes, and the world has actually been able to have some room to grow ever since you did so could please answer my humble request?" Shinrah said as his left hand which held his spear unconsciously shifted to his backside as he crouched slightly. As the could of orange slowly and slowly cleared the silhouette from before retained its form, looking and feeling as unclear as the whole reason behind this blood shed. Which also confused an unwelcome spectator as well. It remained silent and still. Not daring to flinch even once as it at a monstrous height from the delightfully crimson colored ground. Could this creature even notice that? Well, judging by the looks of it, it seemed rather more interested on what stood up with it and not below. And then for a single moment from a hole that miraculously spawned in the fading cloud if orange a red crimson glimmer escaped but... it was bright enough to the point that-

'S-so tha-that's.... who he is. He's...,' tge lost soul wondered as he looked beyond and into the area from which the highlight if action was. Baffled and horrified by the discovery he made. And that was...

"Come on Duba.... won't you answer your little brother?" Shinrah mused but for some reason, he too had the tone of his voice laced of with a hint of... hesitation.

This silhouette was no ordinary monster... but one...

"You want an answer, huh?", the silhouette mused, as it stretched what looked like its hand upwards in the direction where Chigwe and Shinrah stood as its palm gestured at them to come as it finished,"Then come down here and let me te you... its rather... exhausting to shout from here you know?", as its voice laced off with a warm alluring tone. And the two brothers remained on the top of the monstrously towering tor and a little whole later jumped down without signaling anything to each other. Was it out of fear perhaps? Or the fact that they couldn't? No, it wasn't that at all. It was rather just that these two were more cautious about something that passed our unwelcome spectator but slipped away like butter. And that if they tried anything funny right now... well not funny to be specific but rather 'secretive' they would be... dead. Most likely finding themselves as specs of rotting corpses that never even got the chance to think about another breath. All before he struck. That monster. The one monster that never tired.

Stomp, stomp! They landed on the granded after a spending a few passing moments descending from the tor's top. As they gritted their teeth. Not out of the frustration that came from the scarcity of choice of the situation they were in now. But rather because of the... fear they held for this monster. That could've struck them at any moment as they descended. But what could they do? For this monster that stood before never lost the energy of its spark even as time passed on within this world that existed in between it. And so its skills and all its attributes were just as direly threatening. As death itself.

"Now then...," the silhouette, no, Duba spoke as he approached his brothers. His every step more careful and gentle than the last as he added, "Shall I answer your request now, what is it even?", he said as his figure finally stepped out of the cloud if orange that now seemed more like a gust of what it once was. But as soon as he did, a blade plunged into his chest. As his eyes caught a glimpse of something... that made himself smile rather than furious.... it was his brother. And right now as he did this... to Duba it felt more like a insect was tugging at rim of his fur. And so...

Swoosh!

"Ahhh I missed." He said as his hand missed to swat away what should've been Shinrah but all he hit was the air. He the opened his mouth and said, "Hey, if you dont wanna talk... just tell me because..." he said briefly as his voice paused and his wound healed without a trace of injury left on his chest and then added as he took an offensive stance which required him to bow his head slightly as the shadow of his head covered his furious face, "Ive been aching kick ass ever since you peasants betrayed me so...", he said as a sudden shift in the tensity of the surrounding air collapsed. So much so that even the lost soul felt it for a moment.

"Consider this my last bit of 'sympathy towards you all."

Hrme said as he then kept quite suddenly as the two brothers didn't delay to wonder what was to come next as they took offensive stances and all three shouted respectively-

"Emolit, Blood of Sun Smile!"

"Emolit, Transverse Theory!"

"Emolit, Ten Gates of Fury, First Gate, Inferno Ma-"
