When it came to external reinforcements, asking nearby empires for help was out of the question. Not only was there the risk of being annexed, but more importantly, he didn't know anyone there to ask.
The only other option he could think of was the Tu Family from the Demon Cloud Sea. His relationship with them was mediocre—not good, but not bad either. At least they were from the Demon Cloud Sea and not some other empire, which would make asking for help less awkward.
However, he had no idea what the Tu Family's current situation was. If they were still powerful, they might be willing to help for the right price. But if they were in a weakened state, there was nothing he could do.
