The commotion from Brian Langley's grand exit was so loud that Shirley Thorne would have woken up even if she had actually taken a sleeping pill.
She had a habit of rubbing her eyes after waking up. She subconsciously went to do just that, but Ethan Grant grabbed her wrist.
"Germs."
he said coldly.
Shirley Thorne's cheeks puffed out like a hamster's as her morning temper flared. "Mind your own business!"
Ethan Grant's brow furrowed, but he showed no sign of letting go.
Shirley Thorne instinctively tried to put her hands on her hips, only realizing she couldn't when she moved. The motion jolted her fully awake.

She flashed a coquettish smile. "Mr. Grant, thank you! I won't rub them."
