The look on his face couldn't have been more smug.

When Gabriel arrived, Nina was washing some vegetables.
He was a little surprised.
After all, he never expected that the person he had the least confidence in had actually found something to eat.
But then he spotted a familiar color in the basin and narrowed his eyes.
"Wait!"
Gabriel walked over and asked, "Where did you find these mushrooms?"
The mushrooms in Nina's hands felt familiar to him, but he couldn't quite place them.
"I found these by the creek in the village."
Nina said proudly, "I'll treat everyone to dinner."
She had picked a whole basketful.
She'd originally planned to eat them all herself, but since her online reputation was so bad, she changed her mind and decided to invite everyone to eat with her.
