It took her a while to reply.
——How are you going to help me?
"COUGH, COUGH COUGH COUGH…"
Sonia Quincy was just about to reply when Felix Preston suddenly started coughing in his bed, waking up. Sonia quickly put her phone down and, her pregnant belly heavy, walked to the bedside.
"Sonia…" Felix Preston weakly opened his eyes and gently took her hand with the one that was free of an IV drip. "Sonia, I want some water."
Sonia squeezed his hand in return. Just as she was about to get him some water, she noticed the oxygen mask still covering his face.
Only a doctor was supposed to remove the oxygen mask. As much as Sonia's heart ached for Felix, she didn't dare take it off herself.
She patted the back of Felix's hand reassuringly and leaned in close. "Felix, you're still wearing the oxygen mask, so I don't know how to give you any water. Wait here, I'll go get a doctor."
Felix nodded weakly. "Okay, I'll wait. Walk slowly, don't rush."
