Bai Wanwan didn't greet her, but Zhuo Ling approached her.
"I heard from Aunt Lu that your name is Bai Wanwan and you'll be living in our tribe for a while. Can I call you Wanwan?"
Although she was clearly speaking to Bai Wanwan, her eyes kept darting toward Zhu Xiu.
Bai Wanwan followed her gaze and looked up at the male.
Zhu Xiu's face was impassive. He glanced at Zhuo Ling once before looking down at her, his gaze questioning, as if asking if she wanted to stop.
Bai Wanwan didn't respond to Zhu Xiu. Smiling, she turned back to Zhuo Ling. "Sure! If I get bored, I'll come find you to gossip..."
'Gos...sip?'
'What was that?'
"Wanwan, is this your Beast Husband?" Zhuo Ling finally asked the question she most wanted to ask.
"That's right! He's my first Beast Husband, Zhu Xiu. Oh, I can't talk right now. I need to go wash up in the river."
Bai Wanwan tugged on Zhu Xiu's beast hide. "Zhu Xiu, let's go."
