Jasper Sherwood continued walking upstairs without breaking stride.
Only after he was safely inside with the door shut did he go to his room. He peeked through the curtains, looking back in that direction.
The streetlights were dim, and Jasper Sherwood didn't spot anything out of the ordinary.
He frowned. 'No one there? Was it my imagination?'
After watching for a few more minutes, Jasper Sherwood lay back down on his bed, but he tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep.
He rested a hand on his forehead, his expression suddenly turning to one of shame and vexation as he recalled what had happened at the hospital.
'I must be losing my mind!'
