Silas Morgan said slowly, "Lily Donovan, I don't know what you've been through these past few years, but you don't have to be like this in front of me."
He reached out and gently steadied her hand as she lifted a stool. "At least in front of Silas Morgan, you can be yourself, just like before. After all, back then, I really was just a college student who had just graduated and was getting ready to start a business."
