Jasper Sherwood stood on the bustling street.
It was lunchtime, and office workers were heading out to eat.
The streets had grown crowded.
A roaring motorcycle pulled up in front of him.
Zane Wyatt flipped up his helmet, his expression grave. "Get on!"
Jasper didn't hesitate. He swung onto the back seat, not even bothering to ask why Zane was there. His only concern was for Nina Donovan—whether she was safe.
"The abandoned building on Brynhall Road. Nina's there," Jasper said.
Zane put his helmet back on and let out a light breath. "Got it. Hold on tight. I'll make sure we get Nina out!"
The motorcycle weaved effortlessly through the congested traffic.
The wind whipped Jasper's dark hair back, revealing his smooth forehead. His expression was grim. It was only then that he thought to ask, shouting over the whistling wind, "What are you doing here? I heard you were on a talent show. Why are you in Aldoria?"
