Sensen's kiss was so, so gentle.
Yu Zhizhi craved his embrace. She wasn't crying anymore, but she held him tighter, afraid this warmth would evaporate in an instant.
"You..." Yu Zhizhi asked quietly, "Aren't you angry anymore?"
Yusen's voice was a bit raw. "Do I even have the right to be angry, Zhi Zhi?"
'Do I have the right to be angry?'
'Even if I died from anger, what could I do about it?'
'Could I leave her? Could I just not care about her?'
'I can't.'
Hearing Yusen's words, Yu Zhizhi's gaze faltered. She looked up at the Mermaid Youth's jaw and said with utmost seriousness, "Of course you have the right."
It was a very complicated feeling.
'Aside from needing to complete her mission...'
Yu Zhizhi didn't want Sensen to be angry, sad, or cry.
She whispered, "I want you to be happy."
