Ye Wushuang walked over and gently lifted Lan Xinyu's chin. "If you're going to follow me," he said lightly, "don't lower your head in the future. Understand?"
Hearing his light tone, Lan Xinyu froze for a moment. It seemed Ye Wushuang wasn't angry about her previous transgression, but because she had lowered her head. At once, she nodded repeatedly!
Seeing Lan Xinyu's expression, like she had done something wrong and was awaiting punishment, Ye Wushuang shook his head. This woman before him was dignified and elegant, possessing the air of a well-bred lady, yet now she was a maidservant. It almost made it seem as if he, Ye Wushuang, had committed some outrageous, heaven-defying crime.
Still, he hadn't expected this prim and proper woman to steal a kiss from him, much less that he'd catch her red-handed!
At this thought, he subconsciously rubbed his nose, a roguish smile playing on his lips. What man would refuse such a pleasant surprise? How could he possibly make an issue of it?
