Chapter 15 - Chapter 14: Levi's Full Strength

Having witnessed Levi's incredible feat, Liya, who had seen it all, cried out in amazement.

"Heavens, Levi, are you even human?"

"Kid, there are plenty more unbelievable things out there."

Hearing what sounded like an insult, Levi might have been tempted to make an adult joke if she were a grown woman.

But with a kid, Levi just rolled his eyes and shot back a mild retort.

"I'm not a kid! I'm legally an adult!"

Levi ignored Liya, who seemed to have flown into a rage over his comment.

Instead, he clicked his tongue, a bit disappointed that his one throw hadn't brought Damon down.

But that was to be expected.

Although his Javelin was swift and fierce, the distance was simply too great. The time it took to cross that gap was more than enough for a Knight who cultivated Combat Qi to react.

That was all there was to it, though. If the distance was reduced to two hundred paces, Levi was confident he could kill Damon with a single throw.

As the Golden Lion Group fell into a brief chaos from that throw and slowed their pace,

Levi didn't stop. He kept hurling Javelins, every throw impossibly lethal. The opposing Knights were picked off one by one, their bodies sent flying like broken sacks, leaving only their Haka Golden Lions, oblivious to what had just happened.

This display shattered Damon's last shred of wishful thinking.

It dragged him crashing back to reality.

He now understood that Levi could not only hurl a Javelin over five hundred paces but could also maintain his terrifyingly pinpoint accuracy.

Swallowing his fear, Damon bellowed.

"Retreat! Retreat!"

After Levi struck down more than ten of their comrades in succession, the remaining Knights of the Golden Lion Group were terrified by his accuracy. Then came Damon's order to retreat.

Wailing, they scattered in every direction, retreating in a disorganized mob, deathly afraid that Levi would target them next.

When he felt they were finally out of range, Damon came to a halt, his heart still pounding.

Levi was just a small black dot in his vision. Damon consoled himself, 'He can't possibly throw one this far, right?'

Looking at the Golden Lion Group, now over a thousand paces away, Levi raised an eyebrow. 'It's true, I can't reach them from this far right now,' he thought, 'but I do have over twenty Attribute Points left.'

'If I put them all into Power, it might just be possible.'

Still, Levi didn't do it. Using up his Attribute Points on a single Cavalry Corps wasn't a good trade-off.

He could feel that his Attributes could still increase slightly through training.

It was a baseless feeling, one he couldn't quite explain.

So he decided to wait until training no longer improved his Attributes, and then spend all his points. For now, his current stats were more than enough.

While Levi was picking off the knights one by one, Zat had stood by, frozen, swallowing so much his mouth was now parched.

He was completely and utterly awestruck. Killing cavalry one by one with pinpoint accuracy from five hundred paces away, without even a single ranging shot—only a monster could be described that way.

Legendary Giants might be able to do something similar, but their accuracy couldn't possibly compare to his boss.

It wouldn't be long, he mused, before his boss's name would ring throughout the entire Debei Kingdom—and, of course, so would the name of that insignificant yet boundlessly loyal Beastman, Zat.

His boss would become the king of the Northern Wilderness, and he would be his boss's right-hand man! Zat daydreamed about the promising days to come.

Glancing at the Golden Lion Group, now over a thousand paces away and apparently too scared to pursue, Levi turned his head and spoke.

"Let's get going. I doubt they'll dare to follow."

This time, Liya didn't ask Levi to carry her, instead trailing behind him. She now felt Levi was even more terrifying than the Beastman behind her—like a monster in human skin.

'Otherwise, how could anyone throw a Javelin that far? And with almost every single throw hitting its mark?'

In the distance, Damon silently watched the trio disappear from view. He was scared out of his wits and didn't dare order a pursuit.

Every single soldier of the Golden Knight Order could take on a hundred enemies, whether they were facing Lizardmen or those savages.

His hundred-man Cavalry Corps could charge a formation of several thousand soldiers.

And yet, before they'd even closed to within four hundred paces, more than ten of them had been struck down.

He couldn't imagine how many soldiers he would have left by the time they reached their target. Even if dozens of Knights made it into close range, it would be futile against a monster like that.

Seeing their commander's silence, the surrounding soldiers couldn't see the expression beneath his helmet, but they were sure it was grim.

After all, they were known as the elite of the elite, a force comparable to the Royal Court's Griffin Knight Order. Yet, a hundred of them had been cowed by a single man, too afraid to advance.

Their pride, their arrogance, had been utterly shattered by one man.

As for why Levi was so terrifying, one only needed to look at his absurdly high Attributes.

「Levi Targaryen」

「Level: 23」

「Experience Points: 484/120,000」

「Power: 45」

「Agility: 43」

「Intelligence: 12」

「Charm: 41」

「Assignable Attribute Points: 22」

「Skills: Iron Bone 13, Strong Strike 11, Strong Throw 10, Strong Bow 10, Weapon Mastery 9, Shield Defense 9, Running 15 (max), Riding Skill 11, Mounted Archery 10, Item Management 1, Persuasion 8」[Note: Max Level is 15]

「Assignable Skill Points: 2」

「Weapon Proficiency: One-Handed Weapons 685, Two-Handed Weapons 551, Long Pole Weapon 501, Bow and Arrow 530, Throwing 629, Crossbow 310」[Note: Max Level is 720]

「Assignable Weapon Points: 1100」

A Power of 45 gave him the ability to hurl a Javelin over five hundred paces. His nearly max-level proficiency in Throwing weapons was what allowed him to still pick off those Knights with precision from such a great distance.

For context, a normal adult's Power attribute was merely 3 to 4 points. Just looking at the panel, Levi's was more than ten times that.

Not to mention, the system didn't follow a simple linear progression, but an exponential one.

In reality, the difference was likely several dozen times greater.

Levi was confident this display would be enough to make Kolon's men give up any thought of pursuit.

No one could withstand being picked off like that.

His throws were already comparable to a ballista.

As long as he had enough Javelins, with his monstrous constitution, he could keep throwing for half an hour without issue.

Levi summoned his one and only packhorse from the System Space, mounted it while holding Liya, and had Zat "willingly" take the reins.

Although she was startled by Levi's ability to pull an item out of thin air, Liya didn't ask about it.

After all, a thousand years ago on the Middle Ages Continent, Magic existed. It was perfectly normal for some Spatial Equipment to have been passed down.

Liya was merely surprised that Levi's Spatial Equipment could hold a living creature.

Faced with Liya, who was already filling in the blanks on her own, Levi was happy to keep things simple and offered no explanation.

With no pursuers, the trio ambled leisurely along Lion Heart Avenue, heading north.

As long as there were no more surprises, they should reach the Northern Territory within half a month. He could then start developing his Pioneer Territory and experience what it felt like to be a nobleman.

Levi, in a fine mood, couldn't help but start humming a little tune that only he would understand.

"Drifting in this Otherworld for three years now, sometimes I miss the days of being a happy homebody~"

"Even when they tremble at my might and bow in submission, I still miss home~"
