"Yes, sir!" all the trainees answered in unison.
"Zhang Yi, come with me now," Chief Instructor Yang said suddenly before leaving. "I have something to discuss with you."
"Yes, sir," Zhang Yi responded, his heart stirring. He had already guessed why Chief Instructor Yang was calling him over.
He then followed the chief instructor, leaving behind the forty-nine other trainees and their envious gazes.
This was Zhang Yi's second time visiting Chief Instructor Yang's office, and he recognized the familiar door.
"Sit," Chief Instructor Yang said politely.
Not at all intimidated, Zhang Yi pulled out the chair in front of the desk and sat down. Once Zhang Yi was seated, Chief Instructor Yang's expression grew even more serious.
"Zhang Yi, the reason I called you here this time isn't because of the head captain," he began. "It's about the damaged Upper Class Semi-Divine Artifact you turned in, the Plane Teleportation Gate."
Zhang Yi understood. So it really is because of that.
