With that, he stood up and led his men in that direction.

Damian Xavier drove back the way they came, an unconscious Aria Sterling in the passenger seat. He glanced casually at the rearview mirror, saw the cars tailing him, and sneered, "Getting antsy already? The real show is just getting started."
A moment later, he saw the cars that had been following him disperse and surround him.
Three cars boxed him in, yet it didn't feel like they were trying to prevent his escape. It was almost as if they were secretly protecting him.
But only Damian knew the truth. These people had him pinned down completely. More than ten minutes had passed, and he hadn't managed to get very far.
The standoff continued. He looked at Aria, still unconscious beside him, and a difficult choice weighed on him.
