Aria Sterling silently clenched her hands.
Just as Mya Walsh was about to speak, a noise came from outside.
"Mr. Xavier is back."
Aria Sterling looked toward the entrance and, sure enough, saw the familiar gray sedan. It exuded the same cold, severe air as Damian Xavier himself.
Kevin Keane got out first, then walked around to the back and opened the door for Damian Xavier.
The man stepped out of the car with an elegant grace and strode inside.
"You're here."
His heart skipped a beat when he saw Aria Sterling, but that was all he said, his tone detached.
A moment later, however, his hand closed firmly around hers, as if he were afraid she might slip away.
Aria Sterling froze. 'Doesn't he know Mya Walsh is here?'
"What's wrong? Did someone upset you?" Damian Xavier asked, looking down at her. His voice was a little softer now, tinged with what seemed like concern.
The CLICK-CLACK of high heels on the floor announced Mya Walsh's approach.
"Damian, you're back."
