A sharp pain shot through her wrist. She hadn't felt it earlier, simply because nothing had aggravated it yet.
Seeing Shi Li's face turn deathly pale from the pain, Belon pulled his hand back with a hint of regret.
"I didn't mean to do that. You... Doctor!" Belon tried to offer a few words of comfort, but he saw that look of utter disgust return to Shi Li's face.
Cold sweat even beaded on her forehead. She refused to look up at him, just stubbornly pursing her lips and staring at the ground.
Belon froze on the spot. Only after the doctor had applied a new pain-relieving balm to Shi Li's wrist did he stiffly flex his own.
"Try not to move your left hand much. It's best not to apply any force."
