"I want to give them some food," Shi Li said, her hand already reaching for her backpack.
But Jensen forcefully pulled her away.
"Hey!" Shi Li stumbled from the pull, somewhat confused.
"Sure, that's just one insect household, but what about all around us?"
"If you give them food, don't you think the others will come demanding some?"
"That little bit of food you have might seem like a lot for just you, but if you try to share it with them, you'll see it's not even enough for a snack." Jensen was exasperated, though he didn't even know where he'd learned these principles.
The words had just come out subconsciously.
"That's not necessarily what would happen. They didn't look aggressive." Shi Li glanced at the grass hut shrinking in the distance behind them, feeling conflicted.
"In any case, don't test it. It most likely won't end well." Jensen didn't explain further, simply pulling Shi Li forward.
