The Dark River Passage suddenly fell silent. Neither Kasen nor Chelms spoke, the only sound the RUSHING of the current.
After a moment, Kasen reached out and patted Chelms's shoulder, dropping the subject. He lay on the ground, feeling his superpower slowly repairing his wounds. His voice was slightly hoarse. "I wonder how Yu Yu is doing," he murmured. "If they've found her..."
He missed her.
He was also worried about her, afraid she was in danger and that Wei and his people hadn't found her.
Chelms scoffed, his voice raspy. "Don't you worry. She's definitely doing better than we are."
"If she weren't okay, the Central Wilderness wouldn't be so quiet."
Her Beast Husbands would've torn the Central Wilderness apart by now.
Chelms asked, puzzled, "If you like her so much, why not court her? Get her to take you as a Beast Husband?"
Hearing that, Kasen felt a pang of regret and muttered, "I missed my chance..."
