"What other reason could there be? Because the City Lord of Beast King City is Chelms's younger brother, Isaac."
Kasen let out a breath and quickly recounted to Su Yu everything that he and Chelms had gone through recently.
Then, completely baffled, he said, "Assuming Isaac is the Eastern Beast God's Evil Thought, his top priority should be finding a way to let the invaders in. So why would he go after Chelms?"
Kasen wasn't the only one who was baffled; Chelms found it confusing too.
A bold idea surfaced in the mind of Lan Qi, who had once been controlled by the fake City Lord of Southern Beast City. "Do you think it's possible that the Eastern Beast God's Evil Thought hasn't completely taken over Isaac's body?"
"To put it another way, maybe the original Isaac still has his own consciousness?"
