Su Yu regretted the slap the moment she threw it.
But then she remembered the outrageous things Huai Xu had just said. Her face darkened, and she slapped him on the back again, her own face flushed red with anger. "Huai Xu! Take back what you just said!"
Huai Xu waited until she was done, then offered his other cheek to her. "Yu Yu, don't be angry. I was being a jerk."
"If you're still angry, go ahead and slap me again."
Before saying those things, Huai Xu had already anticipated Su Yu's reaction. But he had been completely serious about what he said.
"After you're done, can we please talk this over properly?"
Huai Xu sidled up to her, carefully reaching out to pull Su Yu into his arms.
Still furious, Su Yu had no intention of letting him hold her. She gave him a push and said with a dark face, "What is there to discuss? I'm telling you, Huai Xu, what you suggested earlier is impossible!"
