"Aren't you afraid that after pissing her off, she'll order her Beast Husbands to kill us all?!"
Alek's mind hadn't been working right earlier. After discussing it all afternoon, he finally, belatedly, came to his senses.
It all made sense now. Harrison wasn't usually so aggressive, and he was always polite and courteous to females.
So why was he so rude to Su Yu the first time he saw her today?
'So it was all on this old bastard's orders!'
The more Alek thought about it, the angrier he got. He couldn't stop himself from grabbing Bruce's shoulders and shaking him wildly. "Answer me! Have you lost your mind?!"
Bruce was tossed back and forth like seaweed in the waves, his voice trembling into a vibrato. "I~ haven't~ lost~ my~ mind~."
"I~ know~ what~ I'm~ doing!"
