The message was, of course, sent to Xu Qinghe. Lin Qi had no intention of giving up the profit share she had promised just because he'd suddenly been "promoted a generation."
Xu Qinghe felt her terminal vibrate in her pocket and immediately took it out to check the message.
She then gave Lin Qi a speechless look.
'Is he in that much of a hurry?'
'The Gentleman's Race just ended!'
'Am I, the great Xu Qinghe, the type of person to go back on her word?!'
Xu Qinghe immediately opened a website she had personally built specifically for this bet.
She accessed the back-end and entered the results of the bet.
The server automatically processed the data and calculated the total profit.
There were 442 participants, with total funds of 1.026 billion.
Almost all participants were S-Class Pharmaceutical Researchers, and the vast majority of the funds had been bet on Lin Qi losing.
