Wu Liangchen arrived at Yang Lian'Er's room, a bit confused.
Sure enough.
Yang Lian'Er was already awake, staring blankly at the ceiling.
When Wu Liangchen came in, she spoke in a weak voice, "Mengchan, you go eat first. It's fine if you just leave your brother here."
"Alright!" Wu Mengchan didn't suspect a thing and turned to leave.
Only Wu Liangchen and Yang Lian'Er were left in the room.
Wu Liangchen sat on the edge of the bed. He first reached out to touch Yang Lian'Er's forehead, then nodded.
"The fever's gone down a bit. You should be fine in another two days."
Yang Lian'Er didn't say a word, just stared blankly at Wu Liangchen.
"What's wrong?" Wu Liangchen asked, finding it a little strange.
Before Yang Lian'Er could speak, tears started to fall.
"I just dreamed of Aunt Fan."
Wu Liangchen was taken aback, then sighed. "Don't be sad. How can your body recover if you're always like this?"
