C City.
Wujicun Village.
In this materialistic, technological era, a village nestled deep in the mountains was undoubtedly an anachronism.
Although policies of the secular world had brought modernization to this mountain village, these modern trappings could not change its inherent customs.
As the saying goes, those who live by the mountain live off the mountain. Wujicun Village was just such a place.
And since ancient times, the very existence of the mountains had undoubtedly given rise to countless legends.
Legends of ghosts and ghouls, of Corpse Puppets and spirits...
But just as evil can never triumph over good, these ancient fantasies held that if malevolent fiends existed to harm people, then righteous forces must also exist to protect them.
In a place like Wujicun Village, which lived off the mountain, countless legends about the mountain had been passed down through the ages, naturally evolving into various taboos and deep-rooted customs.
