Outside, on the sun-drenched lawn, the men from the parked motorcade had already cleaned up the scene.
It was as if nothing had just happened.
Everything was back to normal.
Lin Chu watched them, his mind racing to figure out his opponent's thoughts. This "solution" probably wasn't what Liszt had planned from the start, but a reaction, countering move for move.
'Putting myself in his shoes, his core objective is to control me, not kill me.'
'Of course, if he can't control me, I can't rule out the possibility he'll go for the kill.'
'Once I'm clear on that, things become simpler. I'll just have to counter his moves as they come. As long as I'm alive, anything is possible.'
'Even if I have to play along for now and join his club, that's fine.'
'I can't let myself be boxed in by rigid thinking.'
With that in mind, Lin Chu continued to observe them intently. He made a rough estimate: over twenty vehicles, and a team of nearly a hundred men.
