"I'll have the distribution department buy the rights to this variety show," Jensen Morrison said, handing the signed contract to Diana Dunn.
"...Huh?" Diana cupped a hand to her ear, looking at Jensen Morrison in utter confusion. "Is Starlight going bankrupt? Why are we suddenly interested in such a small-time show?"
"The money isn't important," Jensen gritted out.
"Boss... what set you off?"
"It's nothing. Go back to your work." Jensen gave a dismissive wave and went back to typing on his computer.
Diana left the president's office, worried. She waved Gene Aldrin over.
"Diana," Gene said, looking at her on the verge of tears.
"What's gotten into the boss today?" Diana asked with a frown.
"I have no ideaaa!"
"Speak properly!"
"Diana, I really don't know anything!"
"Come on, walk me through it. Start from last night when the boss canceled the international conference."
Gene dutifully recounted everything to Diana, not missing a single word he had overheard.
