"Can you adopt Five?"
"Five? Is she the girl who was trafficked with you?"
"Yes." Stefan Cheney nodded. "Her parents are gone, and she's not in good health... I'm afraid she'll end up in an orphanage, but..."
Ivy Holden guessed what the boy was thinking. She reached out, patted his head, and said, "Adoption is a complicated matter, but I can see what I can do. Besides, the most important thing is that Five herself has to be willing. So, this isn't something you and I can decide on our own."
"Can I go see her, then? She should still be in the hospital. I'm really worried about her."
Without a second thought, Ivy Holden nodded. "Alright, let's go see her."
