After a satisfying meal, Ivy Holden lay comfortably in bed, ready to sleep.
Only after seeing her fall asleep did Jensen Morrison return to his own room next door.
"Boss, Chairman Sutton called you just now. He said he has something very important to tell you." Gene Aldrin stepped forward, took Jensen Morrison's coat, and handed him his phone.
"Mm." This time, Jensen Morrison wasn't resistant. He took the phone and called Eric Sutton back.
The call was picked up almost immediately. Eric Sutton's laid-back, roguish voice came through the receiver. "Son! That thing you mentioned? Your old man took care of it."
Jensen Morrison's eyes flickered. He gave Gene Aldrin a look.
Gene Aldrin silently exited the room.
"Took care of it? To what extent?" Jensen Morrison turned, leaned back on the sofa, and unbuttoned his collar.
