Hong Luan wasn't in good shape. She lay limp and motionless in the corner. Because the earlier clash between Zhao Xuanqi, Yue Shu, and Xie Yuan had been too intense, the entire courtyard was now a mess. A large section of the courtyard wall had collapsed, and the part of the wall in Hong Luan's corner had also fallen, pinning her underneath.
'She isn't dead, is she?'
Zhao Xuanqi frowned. He walked over, moved the rubble pinning Hong Luan, and found that she was still breathing. She wouldn't be dying anytime soon.
'As long as she's not dead.'
Zhao Xuanqi grabbed one of Hong Luan's legs, hoisted her up with her head dangling toward the ground, and slung her over his shoulder.
He looked just like a hunter in the mountains, returning triumphantly with his prey slung over his shoulder.
