"Because of our agreement." Rosalind Lowell fidgeted with the hem of her clothes, feeling she had really let Alaric down.
"Not anymore."
Rosalind pressed her lips together and nodded.
"I don't want anyone else to know about the pregnancy yet. I'm not even three months along, and the doctor said this is a very critical period."
"I'll take you to a private hospital tomorrow for a proper check-up."
In a corner, unnoticed, someone passing by happened to overhear their conversation.
