The chef brought the soup to her, but as he did, it tipped and was about to splash onto her. Luckily, Alaric Davenport was quick to react and blocked it for her. The scalding soup spilled all over him instead.
"Is this how you do your job?" Alaric Davenport scoffed.
"I'm sorry, Young Master Davenport. I was just a little nervous."
Hearing the commotion, Skylar Morrison and the others rushed over to see what was happening.
"Are you okay?" Skylar Morrison asked.
Alaric Davenport looked toward Rosalind Lowell and asked her the same question, "Are you okay?"
Rosalind Lowell shook her head, replying sweetly, "I'm fine. But you…"
"I'll go get changed."
Alaric Davenport shot Don Lowell a look, a single glance conveying all his displeasure from the previous night until now.
Looking guilty, Don Lowell immediately stepped forward. "You can't even handle a simple task like this? What are you still doing here? Pack your things, collect your pay, and get out."
"Yes, Young Master."
