Rosalind Lowell and Alaric Davenport returned to the car. Rosalind looked at Alaric, a smile playing on her lips. "Mr. Davenport, does this 'deep communication' of yours come with any additional conditions?"
Alaric raised an eyebrow. "Do I seem that sleazy to you?"
"No, no, I didn't say a thing."
Alaric gripped the steering wheel and turned to look at her tenderly. "This is a formal partnership. If your studio doesn't meet the requirements, I'll terminate the agreement just the same."
Rosalind smiled and nodded. "That's for the best. Thank you so much, Mr. Davenport."
He never made her feel inferior, always giving her the dignity and space she needed to grow.
'A man like this... she could really fall hopelessly in love with him.'
"Alaric…"
"Hm?" Alaric responded softly.
Rosalind looked at his beautiful eyes, then gently closed her own and leaned in.
Alaric's eyes widened. Before he could even enjoy it, she pulled away.
