Rosalind Lowell looked at Little Kenyon and smiled, too. Out of the corner of her eye, Alaric Davenport's figure appeared.
Rosalind raised her head with a smile, his handsome face filling her vision. He had been looking down at Little Kenyon, but then he raised his eyes to meet hers.
She held her breath, her heart instantly pounding. She couldn't hold it any longer and had to sneak a breath. 'I've already had his child, why is my heart still racing?'
"You... Why are you here?"
He flew back yesterday, and now he's flown over again today, completely nonstop. It's as if he never left at all.
"I had to bring Kael over myself to be at ease. Dad is worried. He's the future heir."
