The Taihe Sect and the Holy Blood Sect presided over Momenan, suppressing any dissent.
Under normal circumstances, they did not permit wars to break out between the Sects under their purview.
But in certain special periods, the conflicts between some Sects would intensify to the point where they could no longer be forcibly kept under wraps.
At such times, the Holy Blood Sect and the Taihe Sect would authorize a Sect war, allowing the crushing defeat of one side to end the conflict and vent the pent-up frustrations of the Cultivators.
And in these brutal Sect wars, two types of Talismans were always present: Forbidden-Breaking Talismans and Array-Breaking Talismans.
A Forbidden-Breaking Talisman could pierce a weak point in an Array, allowing a Cultivator to move in and out freely for a short time.
The Array-Breaking Talisman, on the other hand, was a more powerful class of Talisman derived from the Forbidden-Breaking Talisman.
